We want you to get the care you deserve.

My name is Kayla.

I live in Calgary with my Husband and dog.  I have many passions that I have prossued in my life.  I graduated from SAIT with my Cooking diploma and worked in some form of professional cooking for over 15 years.  I believe that food is a great way of connecting people.  One of my favorite things is to export to other countries through their food traditions.

When I was 25 I decided to go back to school to pursue a career in the helping industry..  I graduated from Mount Royal University with my Diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling and later with my Degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria.  While working for a local children’s mental health organization I used my experience in cooking to work with at risk youth and youth experiencing homlessness.  I worked in a Youth Culinary Arts Program that helped these young people gian work experience and gain employment.  I have a great passion for helping others and building community.

Yoga has been a great help to me over the years, especially when working in stressful environments.  Yoga has given me the chance to slow down, connect with the deeper parts of myself, and has been a great help to my personal mental and physical health. I am very excited to be able to offer the great gift of yoga to others. Yoga is so much more than the poses (asana),  yoga offers time to connect with our breath (pranayama), mind, body and spirit.  I am a firm believer that yoga is for everybody, no matter what your body looks like or how it functions. I think that yoga offers a gentle opportunity to move our bodies in a positive way.  I look forward to the opportunity to connect with my community.
